Well, it’s been a very warm week here at the school. We’ve been very lucky to borrow gazebos from a number of parents and the wider community this week. We are so grateful for supporting us with our events.
We had a wonderful Sports Day earlier this week with children from nursery right through to year six taking part. We were even lucky enough to have parents, grandparents, and older brothers and sisters taking part as well! All children who took part did really well, and eventually it was the yellow team who won the competition. Thanks to the PTA for organising ice lollies to cool the children at the end of the events.
It was a delight to perform for parents, carers and other family members on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the wonderful work that took place in our Welsh week last week. Each class entertained with a number of items involving singing or Welsh speaking. Thanks to staff, especially Mrs Davies, for organising this event.
Well, we have a very exciting few weeks ahead of us at the end of this term at Coastlands CP School. The Y6 learners have gone their first transition day today, getting to meet their new registration group for the first time. They will continue at the comprehensive school on Monday, while the rest of the school take part in our very own transition here at school. There will be some movement and arrangements going on over the last few weeks of term, to make sure that we are fully set up for learning in September, but not forgetting but there are still a good few weeks ahead of us now!
Again, I wish to say a big thank you to families who have come to support at the school this week. And for those unable to make it, we hope to offer a few more parental and family engagement events over the coming weeks to ensure that you get a chance to enjoy some wonderful experiences with your children here at the school.
Have a great weekend
