Hello again, everyone. It’s been an incredibly busy time at the school, so my apologies for having not blogged in a little while.
Parents and children may have noticed new faces around our school over a number of days in the last few weeks. Mrs Groves and Mr Barlow have been at the school on a number of visits, getting to know the children and the school ahead of their start in September.
Parents will have a chance to meet Mrs Groves and Mr Barlow on either the 21st or 27th of June, in after school sessions. See letters coming home today.
On Monday the children will bring home diary dates for you for the final weeks of the half term. There are lots of wonderful things going on and by being here every day, your child can make sure they don’t miss out.
Many thanks to those who sent back sponsorship money as part of a challenge set up by Class 2 in our Eco Week. We all took part this morning, with a group this afternoon as well. A brilliant £200 was raised towards the cost of class trips over the next few weeks.
Our Governors met on Monday of this week. The meeting took place to summarise the work of the school this year, and to begin planning for the next academic year. The Governors have asked to again pass on thanks to those who took part in parent surveys during last term. They want to continue raising their profile within the school, and will look forward to attending some of the events over the remainder of the term. They have been working incredibly hard behind the scenes this year to challenge and support the school. If you want to know more about their job, please ask them. They hope to provide more information for our website soon about their exciting work.
Many thanks again for your continued support. Have a great weekend.
